Packages
These 3 packages represent my most common setups and are there to give you an idea of price and scope. One of these setups might suit you perfectly as it is, or you might want a few tweaks, they’re simply starting points and are fully customisable. In our 1:1 consult, we’ll go through your needs in detail and create a quote tailored specifically to your setup, lifestyle and future plans.
Package pricing covers the supply and installation of the core electrical system; appliances can be supplied and added separately (fridge, fan, usbs, lights etc).
The Weekender
Just the essentials, done right, with gear that lasts.
-
This system was originally designed for a client who wanted a bare-basics setup for weekend trips and short getaways. They needed reliable power for the essentials — a fridge, phone charging, and a cabin fan — without overcomplicating things or committing to major structural changes.
A no-fuss setup that delivers dependable power without cutting holes or mounting anything on the roof. A 50A Victron DC-DC charger rapidly charges your secondary battery while driving, so even without solar you’ll still have reliable power on the road.
This setup can also be built as a standalone battery box. Ideal for simple builds or vans that don’t yet have suitable walls or cabinetry to mount electrical gear.

This system is best for travellers doing longer trips or full-time van life. A perfect middle ground for a single or a couple who want more comfort than the bare essentials, but don’t need a massive system. This is my most popular setup and the system I personally use for seasonal van-life in my Toyota Hiace.

The Process
1. Onboarding
If you’re ready to explore a custom electrical system for your van, the first step is to reach out. Shoot me an enquiry and I’ll send you a questionnaire that covers your vehicle, your build, how you travel, what you want to power, and any future plans. Your answers give me everything I need to understand your setup and prepare for a consult call.
2. Consult
We’ll jump on a video call and go through your needs in detail.
I’ll explain your options, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident about the plan-of-action. This call is where we make sure we’re choosing the smartest long-term setup for your lifestyle and budget. After the call, I’ll put together a clear, itemised quote based on what we decide.
3. Installation
Once you approve the quote, we’ll book in a time. I’ll need your van for a few days (exact timing depends on scope + complexity). You can drop your van to me in Pambula or in Ulladulla, or in some cases I can travel to you. You’ll get a full walk-through at the end, plus a user-guide, wiring diagram, and ongoing support if you ever need help.
About My Installations
-
I design and install high-quality solar and dual-battery electrical systems for campervans, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and longevity. All installations are completed to Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3001) so your system isn’t just functional, it’s compliant, safe, and built properly.
12V Electrical systems are an area where shortcuts often show up later. Poor design or installation can lead to inefficiency, premature failures and the cost of redoing the system entirely. My philosophy is simple: invest once in a system that will go the distance and save you money in the long run.
-
Every system I install is custom-designed around the way you live and travel. Before I provide a quote, we’ll have a 1:1 consultation so I can fully understand your power needs, lifestyle, and future plans. Every system I design is thoughtful and tailored to you, balancing future-proofing and flexibility without going bigger than you actually need.
By taking the time to understand your setup and lifestyle, I ensure your system is just right, never undersized (which can damage your battery) and never oversized (saving you unnecessary upfront costs). The result? A system that runs efficiently, lasts longer, and gives you peace of mind for years to come.
-
It’s important to me that you understand your system and feel confident using it. Each install includes a clear user guide, a full walkthrough of how everything works, and ongoing support if questions come up down the track. Where possible, I also like to check in on my systems to make sure they’re running smoothly.
If you’re looking for a compliant, well-designed electrical system — built carefully, explained clearly, and built to go the distance — this is the kind of work I love doing.
-
I focus on compact, efficient electrical systems for campervans and van-lifers who don’t need full house-level power.
I’m not currently installing large systems such as cabins, tiny homes, large caravans or motorhomes, or vans that require shore power. If you have a larger project, feel free to DM me — I’m always happy to share recommendations or point you in the right direction.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not currently, but I can pre-run the wiring so your system is ready for a fan to be installed later. You don’t need the fan installed for pre-wiring, just a rough idea of where it will go.
-
I’m happy to supply and mount solar panels onto existing, suitable roof racks. At this stage, I don’t mount panels directly to vehicle roofs. If you’d prefer to mount panels yourself or use a different mounting method, I can pre-run and terminate the solar cabling so it’s ready to connect later.
-
No, solar panels and roof vent fans don’t need to be installed before pre-wiring. Cabling can be run and prepared so these components can be added later in the build.
This is a common approach for DIY builds and allows electrical work to happen early, without needing all appliances installed upfront.
More detail on how electrical fits into a DIY build can be found on The Process page.
-
In some cases, yes. I’m happy to look at existing components and assess whether they’re suitable for the system you want.
That said, I generally prefer to work with brands and components I know and trust, as this allows me to stand behind the safety, reliability and long-term performance of the system. Using unfamiliar or lower-quality gear can make it harder to guarantee system behaviour, efficiency, and support down the track.
If you already have gear, we’ll talk it through during the consult and decide what makes sense for your setup.
-
In some cases, yes. While my main focus is on high-quality custom systems, I understand that not everyone can invest in a premium setup upfront.
In my experience, higher-end components are often more cost-effective long term due to their reliability and lifespan. That said, budget still matters. Where appropriate, I’m open to discussing more cost-conscious options using mid-range, proven components that balance safety, reliability, and value.
I’ll always be upfront about the trade-offs - these systems won’t offer the same longevity as a premium setup, but they may suit your needs and budget. I won’t compromise on safety, and if a full install isn’t the right fit, I also offer DIY support calls and technical email support.
-
I’m available for installs along the NSW South Coast, from Ulladulla to Eden, as well as in Canberra. If I’m travelling to you, a travel fee will be added to your quote and you’ll need to have a suitable space for the install, such as a driveway or carport, with access to power.
